Then… Feed it with knowledge

I pick "serious interests" in a lot of things. Probably things you don't pay attentions to. For example, my departmental colleagues will understand this better.

During histology practical classes.. Basically our task is to just look at a tissue through a microscope then Identify its histological stratification type. But, Unfortunately, the whole class will see different things with absolute the same sample compounded by enormous heat and noise in the lab. Why?

That's an interest point for me ! 
So, what did I think about ? I thought to myself.. The major reason we are seeing different results is that... The microscopes are bad ! No doubt! (Though, I stand to be educated)

What if we build a foldable microscope using cabin biscuit's cartoons using the principles of Google's VR? That's cool right ? Meaning every students can own a microscope! How awesome!

I think it's important to pick interest in a lot of things not just your comfort zone.
