Maybe you’re hurt, you’re suffering from anxiety, maybe life has got you down. Here I give you the low down on six archangels you can pray to so that you can get help in life’s toughest moments.
Many religious traditions (Christian, Jewish, Muslim) believe in the power and importance of archangels, who are considered to be some of the most powerful and important angels in the hierarchy of heaven.
These spiritual beings are said to act as intermediaries between God and humanity, and can be called upon in prayer for a variety of needs and intentions.
Here are six archangels that many people turn to in prayer, and the reasons why:
Michael: Known as the “Prince of Angels,” Michael is said to be the leader of God’s army and the protector of God’s people. He is often depicted holding a sword and is invoked for protection and strength. Many people turn to Michael in prayer for protection against physical and spiritual harm, as well as for strength and courage in the face of challenges and difficulties.
Gabriel: Known as the “Messenger of God,” Gabriel is said to have announced the births of John the Baptist and Jesus to their respective mothers. He is also said to have dictated the Quran to Muhammad. He is often invoked for guidance and communication. Many people turn to Gabriel in prayer for guidance and direction, as well as for help in communicating with God and understanding His will.
Raphael: Known as the “Healer of God,” Raphael is said to have healing powers and is often invoked for physical and emotional healing. Many people turn to Raphael in prayer for healing of the body, mind, and spirit, as well as for help in overcoming illness and addiction.
Uriel: Known as the “Angel of Repentance,” Uriel is said to be the angel of wisdom and is invoked for knowledge and enlightenment. Many people turn to Uriel in prayer for wisdom and understanding, as well as for guidance in making difficult decisions and finding the right path in life.
Raziel: Known as the “Angel of Secrets,” Raziel is said to have knowledge of the mysteries of God and is invoked for understanding and insight. Many people turn to Raziel in prayer for insight and understanding of the mysteries of life and the universe, as well as for help in unlocking the secrets of the soul.
Zadkiel: Known as the “Angel of Mercy,” Zadkiel is said to have power over the emotions and is invoked for forgiveness and compassion. Many people turn to Zadkiel in prayer for forgiveness and compassion, as well as for help in overcoming feelings of anger, resentment, and hatred.
