On being ugly

Hey Fran! Great article, I love when people are so honest and genuine and open and vulnerable like this. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve already seen one comment where someone gave you an acne treatment suggestion and I assume there are more. I have one to add and I hope this is the one you take note of… I’m not the one with acne but two of my dear friends have it (one formerly), the kind of cystic acne you describe. The friend who used to have it was recommended this stuff by some lady in a store once who brazenly gave some unsolicited advice and by some magic, the friend followed it. As the story goes, there are quite a few people known by a few degrees of separation to the first friend, who have had amazing success with this.

This first friend (M) suggested it to our other friend (G) who has had very bad cystic acne all along the jaw line and neck and chin and almost whole face. She decided to go off of some pills recently (which were suppressing the acne a little) and that’s when it got really bad. So M recommends this face wash and cream (it’s a combo) to G, who was super skeptical and said she couldn’t try it at that time because she was on this other regimen which couldn’t be mixed. But by some magic, she soon after changed it up and bought one of the two components, which helped noticeably, so she bought the other half. I didn’t see G for a bit and when I next saw her (after she’d been using the combo for a few months) I couldn’t believe how much her acne had improved!! It’s crazy! I’m pretty sure one thing that’s nice about this stuff is that it doesn’t sting or hurt or dry out your skin (which I don’t find is the way to heal things- by drying them out, even when they’re pussy). So here you go, the stuff is called:

La Roche Pose-Effaclar Duo.

Hit me up if you try it and it works or not. Would love to know your results.

Sorry that you developed this acne, that’s rough times. You’re handling it beautifully. No one who loves you/likes you/gets to know you will care at all about the fact that you have this acne, but I know it’s hard. (I said I don’t have acne, but I’ve had my fair share of horrible legions on my face!).
