I think dynamic pricing is the future of everything, though I don’t see this happening at a subscription level. The beauty of the Internet that it enables access to everything, but if we block interesting stories behind long-term subscriptions, then it’s not a matter of pricing but of concept… how many subscriptions can you get for every article that you want to read? But if, on the other hand, we take dynamic pricing to an article, white paper, research level, combined with frictionless built-in payment systems like the ones you mentioned and Apple/Samsung/Android Pay, then everything could be within reach while maximizing the price of every single article.
