Forget about personal branding — focus on being a person first
Rosie Leizrowice

This summer, I made it my mission to start defining my brand. I’m a marketing major so I figured it would be the perfect personal project. I’m realizing that the ideology is flawed. People are people, and personal brands are merely self-imposed labels. I especially love where you call out branding for sugar-coating sh*t, because that’s how I felt trying to create content for YouTube with limited inspiration, and a relatively “average” life. As of right now, I’m choosing to let myself be. Really glad I found Medium, because now I stumble upon writers like you, who share thoughts that help me remember what’s real.
