I would argue that empathy is the start of the conversation. It’s easy to say to just bring a woman on the team, if you’re designing for women, but that also assumes that that woman is going to be able to speak for all women, which is impossible. It’s equally impossible to get all women in the room, so you have to start with empathy no matter the problem.
