What Are The Popular Democratic Policy Proposals?
David Eil

Raising the Minimum Wage” is only popular because people don’t understand that doing so will also raise unemployment. That is simple supply and demand: you will buy less labour if it costs more. If you want more people on benefits instead of working, then support raising the Minimum Wage. All Left-wing policies have unintended consequences: raising the tax on wealthy people will make them spend more money on Accountants and Lawyers to avoid paying the extra tax, or they will move to a country with a lower tax rate. 33% is high enough: Big Government needs to live within its means, drive out waste and inefficiencies, and sack as many paper-pushers as possible. Pushing up taxes on the rich is stupid and lazy.
