ABS2020: July 15~19 Summit Dates Reaffirmation
Despite the concerning risk of COVID-19, team ABS wants to instill confidence and reassert our stance regarding the summit dates on July 15~19. The Summit will be held virtually.
Although most blockchain events in Q1 and Q2 have been postponed, we remain optimistic that the change in seasonality and transition into warmer summer temperatures shall drastically curb the spread if not stopping it completely.
Furthermore, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control has been quick, effective, and transparent to entrench preventive measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Taiwan.
The battle has only just begun, yet we are confident that the Taiwanese government and the people of Taiwan will continue to take great care of epidemic prevention.
Certainly, there are times when an imposing systemic risk makes a business decision difficult, especially given the circumstance. However, we are willing to work towards a flexible policy to reduce as much risk for our ticket buyers as well as sponsors.
The team behind Asia Blockchain Summit are long term thinkers. Give us ten years, we will accelerate mainstream adoption and recognition of the cryptocurrency/blockchain industry (at least) in Asia.
Special thanks to incredible backers, investors, partners, speakers, and sponsors, ABS2020 will continue as scheduled. Though we are grateful for all the support, it remains our highest priority to protect the interest of everyone involved as we closely monitor the situation.
