Here are the top tips to market your app which are the key app store optimization ( ASO ) technics. You need to take care of these 15 basic thing when you launch your app. These are common for all major app stores like Apple AppStore , Google Play Store and Windows phone store.

App name should be small, catchy and should contain relevant keywords. This is the first link that connect you and your customers.

2. Icon

Icon and app name are the only things that a users can see when they search for an app. So you should make a good icon for your app that will attract users to download the app.

3. Screen shots

Pictures can talk a lot more than words. So your screen should be very attractive. Use, story telling screen shots (screen shots with texts). Better to choose portrait screen shots, because you can show more screen shots in the app preview than landscape screen shots.

4. Category

Choose appropriate app category. If your app can fit into two categories, then choose the one with lower competition.

Because this will help your app to get featured in that category, which will eventually drive more users.

5. Keyword

Choose appropriate keywords and don’t repeat keywords.

6. Description

First two line of your description is very important. Users will not read whole description. So tell the key things in first two sentence. In Google Play store, only the first few line of the description will be available in the preview. Users need to click on “load more” to get the complete description, which most users will not do. So your first two sentences are very important.
