What is ACAF

African Cultural Art Forum (ACAF) is a community based business that was established in 1969. The mission of our business is to create jobs for the youth, and also provide education to the youth by training them on the job. When you make any African Art purchase from us, you assist us in expanding our economic development efforts in communities based in Africa. The African Cultural Art Forum was previous based at 237 S. 60th street in Philadelphia which was opened in February 1969. The products that we started selling initially were African Art which included home decorations, and cultural art prints that were four colors and were coated on wood. As we continued expanding, we started selling other products from Africa that include; incense, carvings, oils, jewellery, and many other products. ACAF boasts of being the first store to offer the Africa Art products in the city of Philadelphia.

We have been in a position to market the African Art products in venues like Unity Day, Odunde, college home comings, Penn Relays, concerts, and any other places where many people are gathered. ACAF started producing and distributing incense products in the year 1971. The incense products included incense room deodorizer. We were also able to produce more natural and organic products, which we sold to neighboring stores including large retailers based in Delaware Valley. Some of the big retailers include; Super Fresh, Fresh Grocer, Acme Markets, Cousins, Shop’n Bag, and several others. Our natural products customer bases include other American states, the Caribbean and Africa as well. In the year 1995, ACAF moved to its current location at the former famous Aqua Lounge Jazz club. We are located at 221–223 South 52nd Street, Philadelphia. The Aqua Lounge Jazz Club was the first Jazz club in Philadelphia in the sixties and seventies. Our production facility is located at this address.

We have a large gift store of African Art at this location to serve the people of Philadelphia, and numerous visitors who come to the city of Philadelphia every year. Our store is one of the stores that have weathered the storm in Philadelphia since its establishment in 1969. We wish to thank the Almighty God for the far we have come, and also appreciate our clients and investors who have been in a position to support our business. ACAF is at an advanced stage of acquiring machinery that shall be used for peppermint soap production that will assist them in creating more jobs. The production line will also enable them train more youth for the economic development of the content of Africa through production, distribution, and networking. Your support is important to us and we shall be glad to hear from you as you make enquiries regarding the African Art products that we sell.
