Senior Female Practitioner
Great female Dzogchen and Chöd practitioner known as Momo Dawa aka Momo la, who taught certain practitioners such as Chodpa Kunzang Dorjee.
She spent many years practicing in strict retreat cultivating the Natural State's peaceful abiding (zhi gnas) for 10 years before integrating all the various kinds of movements ('gyu ba) into her Awareness (rig pa), which is the praticular Dzogchen Semde approach (rdzogs chen sems sde). She is remembered for her qualities and ability to explain even the most difficult points of the oral pith instructions (man ngag sde/upadesha) that even ordinary practitioners could understand it easily. Moreover, she was an outstanding Chöd practitioner who lived for 92 years.
She came from Tibet and spent most of her youth in Solukhumbu, Nepal and later finally stayed the remainder of her life in Pharphing, Nepal.
She lived a long and fulfilling life, passing away at the age of 92. Throughout her journey, from Tibet to Nepal and ultimately to Pharphing, Nepal, she remained steadfast in her devotion to the Dharma, leaving behind a legacy that continues to illuminate the path of awakening for all beings.
