Guns Control
Constitutional Right

Owning a firearm in the United States is one of our constitutional rights our founding fathers put in place. The Second Amendment states: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the rights of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This means that implementing gun control measures is actually unlawful and prevented by the Bill of Rights.
Crime Rate

1 in 5 women in the United States have been sexually assaulted. Unarmed women who are attacked are sexually assaulted and raped 30% of the time. On the other hand, women who are armed are only sexually assaulted and raped 3% of the time. Of those attacked you have a 27% less likely chance of being raped if you are armed.
Effectiveness

Guns are used for self defense or to stop a crime more than 4 times a minute. In Britain and Australia when they put in gun control measures their crime rate increased rather than decreasing. Taking away guns isn’t going to stop criminals it just makes the law abiding citizens more vulnerable.
Hunting

Guns are not only used for self defense, but also for hunting. Many people who are in favor of gun control believe guns should only be used for hunting. This sounds good on the surface, but is very difficult to regulate and uphold if it were to be put into place.
Effects

The United States has the highest guns per capita out of any other country with more than 1 gun per citizen. This has helped protect our country during times of war. Foreign enemies tend to not invade the U.S. due to the fact we have such high gun ownership. If we were to take away all those guns we not only become more susceptible to crime, but also other countries.
