Today is a big day because we are going to attend the Techcrunch Robotic Session. Techcrunch is one of the leading technology media in the world. This Robotic Session invites many experts in the robotic area such as Prof. Daniela Rus, a leading scientist in CSAIL in MIT specializing in distributed robots and Colin M. Angle, the founder of iRobot. I am so excited that I have the chance to see those idols in person.

During the session, they shared their vision about the development of next-generation robots and how AI will participate in the everyday life. They also share how they found the companies and what difficulties they confronted during the process. There is one thing that impress me the most. They said that when you start the company, you need to ask yourself “What’s the hard problem I’m solving now” and “Why is it critical?”. After thinking these two problem thoroughly, you acquire the ability to make the products that people like.

I also see the common of those people. All of them are ambitious, passionate, unbounded. They are willing to challenge the hardest things and dare to dream to change the world. Maybe the students in Taiwan are as smart as them. Most of them lack these characters of being great. They just want to graduate and find stable jobs. If we can encourage students to dare to dream, Taiwan will be different.
