A one-stop online portal for grassroots organizations and volunteer leaders

The Grassroots Growth Online Platform

Volunteer Toronto launched a new streamlined website that will make it easier for volunteer leaders to grow their project ideas and turn them into viable non-profit organizations. The first of its kind for grassroots groups — there’s no other online community of practice for volunteer-run groups to learn and connect with each other in Ontario.

The launch GrassrootsGrowth.ca follows a report from Volunteer Toronto about how small, volunteer-run organizations are making a big impact across Ontario and recommendations on how to improve resource support for these groups.

With limited revenue and resources, grassroots groups struggle to access the non-profit sector best practices that help organizations manage volunteers effectively.

The website will be a freely accessible space for groups to take advantage of different types of learning materials, and network with other groups from across the Province.”

— David Allen, Executive Director of Volunteer Toronto
