Dangers of Procrastination.
We’ve come to the end of the board meeting and I am so excited the director choose me to work on the Fairytale project. Everyone was not surprised because I got this technique I use in handling projects and making it a success. I was giving two weeks to do the paper works submit to the board. I got home that Friday and really enjoyed my weekend. (Of course, I was a flexing guy with brains though).

After the weekend, resumed work but felt reluctant to get the paperwork done, I postponed my working on it to next week. After all Fairy tale project a small thing na, I said to myself. Fast Forward to the next week I was to submit the paperwork by Friday.
My day went thus
Monday- I came back home feeling lazy and tired. I said to myself there is tomorrow to start
Tuesday- While working I received a distress call that my fiancee was admitted at the hospital. After work I just rushed down there straight to check on her, but thank God it was not that serious. I spent the night at his place as she was discharged later at night.
Wednesday- I did not need an Angel to tell me that yawa will gas if I don’t start writing the paper works, lo and behold Fairy tale Project wasn’t small after all as I thought. I did my best to an extent but the workload was too much coupled with files on my desk to attend too.
Thursday- This day was the oga Pata Pata of the whole fireback. After work, my car broke down on my way back home, before I could get to my mechanic and fixed my car it was late. I was tired, I got home to continue my work I realized I left my PC at work, God why me na? I cried who did I offended? So many questions going through my mind and then I remembered the time I wasted doing nothing, how productive it would have been in getting Fairy tale Projects Paperwork’s done.

Below are the Possible Dangers of Procrastination
1). Fatigue :- Sleep deprivation and rushing to keep up with deadlines lead to both personal and mental exhaustion.
2). Damaged Relationships:- Missed deadlines and appointments can wear on both personal and professional relationships.
3).You will lose precious time:- There is nothing worse than feeling frustrated at yourself, knowing the situation could have been so different and you can’t turn back the hands of time.
4).Unreliability:- It makes people stop depending on you and hold back on offering you opportunities because they feel you will end up not doing it and they will be left to clean your mess.
5). Inefficient work:- Procrastination tempts you to do a hurried and inefficient job since you have postponed it for so long.
It was a long night and finally, Friday is here. I stood up from my bed like Jesus take the wheel and I heard a whisper loud and clear saying I was the cause of my problem and I should face it. I got to the office gate, Haruna our gatekeeper looked at me and said bro Biggest Oga don dey ask of you since morning, I checked my time it dawned on me that I was an hour late for the board meeting. I walked in looking like a chicken about to be slaughtered, all eyes on me I apologized for coming late and went straight up to the seat. Let me look up and see what’s on the projector lo and behold My colleague Mr. Doro has submitted the paperwork. Don’t ask me about what happened next.
All I have to say is; Whatever you have to do please do it now!!!! Time waits for no one, say no to procrastination today.
