The rush to judgment on this show based off of only a press release is astounding to me. No one knows how this show will handle its’ controversial material, which characters it will portray positively/negatively, or even if it will be any good. D&D have their shortcomings but I admire their ambition in creating an original show despite the potential land mines they’ll need to navigate.

If they’re able to pull it off and challenge viewers’ thoughts on race and the history of America, bravo. There will be plenty of opportunity to criticize them if they fail, so maybe we can all just agree to give them the chance before declaring this “white supremacist fan-fic” or whatever?
