Around 12 months ago I saw an image of a 40% keyboard with a similar keycap layout to the photo at the top of this post, & decided I wanted to own one. It’s been a steep learning curve! I currently have a cheap 60% keyboard with Cherry Mx blues as my daily, and I’m gathering the parts to build a Planck. Unfortunately I missed the last SP grab bag sale so the keycaps are still a way off. Great article, I recognise the ‘edge of a rabbit hole’ feeling well!
