How does One quantify the importance or impact of an herbalist?

The entire nature of the occupation is exactly in the word, ‘nature’, which is inevitably the antithesis to this digital asset valuation era of humanity.

We are in an era of humanity (especially in the Unites States) where agriculture as a class in public school is almost unheard of. A generation that considers “Steak” the highest luxury of food selection.

Learning about special herbs which can heal specific ailments in the body is an ancient art that has been practiced for thousands of years to the joy and delight of an inquantifyable(not a word, eh? is now)number of people. But that was before the invention of money.

It is a mystery if there was ever an era of humanity where an herbal healer could ever be a target of The Establishment.

What is NOT a mystery is that the phrase,

“Food is Medicine”

had never, until now, been a threat to a $700B industry (fast food & pharmaceuticals).

Alfredo Bowman was born in 1933 in Honduras. There isn’t much out there about his earliest years. Legend has it he as raised by his mother in the actual jungle, no less. His legacy was at its first significant milestone when he arrived to United States to study and shortly thereafter was committed to an insane asylum in New Jersey in 1961. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, and medically diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, obesity, and even impotency.

After traveling to Russia, St.Petersburg, London, Spain, many countries in Africa, Alfredo found himself with a herbalist in Mexico, who introduced him to many powerful herbs. He found himself cured of all his ailments and became a dedicated student of the Mexican herbalist.

However, whenever his mastery was acquired, he arrived to the United States in 1981 and began marketing his services in the classified ads of the New York Times.

Let’s step back and take a look at what we are talking about here. Here is a man, a black man, from Honduras, never had any formal schooling at any phase of his life, approximately 50 years old, calling himself “Doctor Sebi” and claiming to have the CURE for AIDS, Blindness, Cancer, Sickle Cell, Herpes, and many many MANY other diseases of which the general consensus is are INCURABLE!

It even took time for anyone in the public to really faithfully inquire, which is how Dr.Sebi cured his first AIDS patient in 1984.

That was very significant milestone in his legacy, which preceded another significant milestone, the lawsuit based of claims of fraud by a public group, a case that made it all the way up to the Supreme Court by 1988.

At that particular moment, of every case that had to go against the Supreme Court, each and every single case had a result that was in favor of the Supreme Court. Never had any person ever had a case tried in the Supreme Court and won, until Dr. Sebi.

Legend has it that the Supreme Court asked Dr. Sebi to bring one person for each disease he had claimed to cure, which should have made up for approximately 20 people. Dr. Sebi brought SEVENTY-SEVEN cured patients to Supreme Court! The prosecution was forced to rest, and Dr. Sebi won the case.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this monumental moment in Natural Medicine Modern History came almost 40 years later in 2015, when asked about that case. On People TV in Atlanta, Brother Wanique asked Dr. Sebi how he was able to maintain his focus while defending such a information-dangerous philosophy. Dr. Sebi laughed heartily and said the following:

“It must have been rough for many people, and it seemed that way…You are the second person to ask me that and you know what? It was recently that I really saw the case, and I got scared. *laughs* Because if I were conscious, fully conscious of what I was doing in 1988? It wouldn’t have been done.”

Wow. It’s a powerful statement to publicly acknowledge the actual DANGER involved in the specialty of herbal medicine. Apparently, especially due to the incredulous rise of mysterious deaths of holistic doctors in 2015 into today, with the subject at hand as the most heart-breaking recent inclusion.

The next important excerpt of Dr. Sebi’s expression that is amazing to consider is this: “I was in a vibration of life, where I was focused on ONE THING…I was driven there.” At 55 years old. The man speaking in that video was currently 81-years-old speaking of his 55-year-old self as if he was (by average American age mindset standard of thinking) 35-years-old talking about his 21-year-old self!

So, Dr. Sebi was the first person ever in American history to have a case brought to the Supreme Court and escape victorious. Interestingly enough, “coincidentally” there was a controversial(read: smokescreen) rape case that dominated news headlines, and his entire situation went mostly unnoticed by the general public.

He continued to practice medicine and grow in “Word of Mouth” legacy. In time, his revolutionary treatment connected with a very talented and popular R&B singer from Atlanta, GA, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of the girl-group “TLC”.

Lisa, AKA “Left Eye”, AKA “Crazy”, of the “CrazySexyCool” moniker that the TLC trio was known for, had her share of a controversial past. In 1992, Lopes, very publicly battled alcoholism(the other members of TLC are Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas). The most infamous incident from her boozing-and-brawling days, she was arrested for burning down Rison’s(her on-and-off public relationship) $1.3 million Atlanta home when she set fire to sneakers he’d just bought (it was reported she was furious that he hadn’t bought a pair for her, too). Rison declined to press criminal charges, and Lopes was fined and sentenced to a month-long alcohol treatment program.

It was through an acquaintance that Lisa learned of Dr.Sebi and they were introduced to each other over the phone and having an immediate chemistry of positivity. Before deciding to visit the Center, Lisa took some of his products, a 10-day cleanse, a strict vegan diet and consumption of alkaline food such as seamoss. She was transformed by that diet in a drastic way, per her account, she had heightened energy, less sleep dependency, she no longer had a bladder infection, she no longer had eczema, and was no longer addicted to the food diet she previously indulged in.

Lisa first visited the Usha Nutrition Center in 1999. She had such profound experiences that she was building her entire life around it. She visited frequently and when she did visit she stayed for months at a time. She even bought land close by the Village and was planning on building a children’s center on that land. She vowed to spread the word of Dr.Sebi’s healing around the world with her influence.

In the process of doing just that, On April 25, 2002, in La Ceiba, Honduras, while driving a rented Mitsubishi Montero Sport around a bend in the road, Lopes swerved to the right slightly to avoid a truck (it is not clear if the truck was slow moving or stationary) then immediately to the left as she tried to avoid an oncoming car. It was a terrible car accident and Lisa was instantly killed from her head and neck injuries.

Her death was extremely tragic, people all around the world mourned her spirit, but one of the most devastating factors was that Lisa never got to fully express her testimony on the scale that she wanted to for Dr. Sebi.

But, wait! Maybe she wasn’t famous enough for her testimony to really reach the world. If only someone on the scale of maybe a Michael Jackson learned about Dr. Sebi, maybe then people would believe and more people would be healed! Right?

Dr. Sebi treated Michael Jackson in the 1st quarter of 2004 for insomnia and pharmaceutical addiction. Which, over course, was during a time period where the American mass media was counter-attacking all of the undying love the world had for Michael with the most vile, vitriol hatred and rhetoric imaginable. Just look at this disgusting arrangement of words about Michael and Dr. Sebi by Fox News, if you can stomach it. Anyway, Over the time that it took for Michael to become healed, he and Dr. Sebi became friends. When Michael became aware of Dr. Sebi’s wealth of experience and knowledge, he made a great effort to bring awareness of Dr.Sebi and his medicine practices to the Nations.

Michael Jackson actually drove Dr. Sebi from California all the way to Washington D.C. to meet with 17 African ambassadors and other government officials. Even Dr. Sebi was excited thinking that finally the right people would listen to him and possibly bring healing to disease-ravaged countries. The meeting happened and Dr. Sebi was able to speak his piece.

Granted, his life story is beyond “unconventional” and he has absolutely none of the arrogant-American standard “credentials” to be a legitimate expert in their perspective. It could also be the fact that the information he was offering was a great threat to the financial structure set-up to “treat” disease but never to cure it. Nevertheless, clearly nothing positive developed from this meeting, and Dr. Sebi’s legacy would continue to grow in relative secrecy from the general public.

Fast forward to 2016, and Dr. Sebi, at 82 years old, was in great health. He had grown somewhat of a cult-following thanks to social media, and more and more people were being positively changed by his wisdom every day.

The spike of American interest in a vegan diet choice and holistic healing in general has been apparent over the last 3 years. Unfortunately, that rise in American interest has also coincided with the rise of mysterious deaths of holistic doctors over the same time period.

Why have there been over 60 holistic doctors(there aren’t that many active, working pursuers of herbal medicine mastery) found dead under odd circumstances since June 2015?

These facts are particularly unsettling for young people with ambitions to change the world in a positive way. Speaking out against racism and organizing protests of racism got Martin Luther King, Jr killed. Being strong-willed about fighting back against physical terrorism by whites against blacks got Malcolm X killed. Being labeled a “whistleblower” for exposing government greed and corruption has definitely gotten lots of people killed. Hell, most recently, numerous people exposing the evil nature of Hillary Clinton have turned up dead.

At this rate, how much Freedom of Speech do we have left? 4 years? 2 years? 6 months?

On May 28, 2016, Dr.Sebi was arrested at Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport in Honduras for carrying some $37,000 in cash. He was released pending a court hearing, only to be RE-arrested June 3 by the Ministerio Público, Honduras’ version of the FBI, and charged with money laundering. Dr. Sebi remained in custody until Aug. 6(that’s 63 days of starvation & submersion in disease), when he was rushed to a local hospital reportedly suffering from complications of pneumonia. Dr. Sebi died en route. He was 82.

Hearing his best friend of 51 years speak about his life and the circumstances surrounding his death was absolutely gut-wrenching. Seeing this testimony will let anyone understand a bit of Dr. Sebi’s impact.

Dr. Sebi’s impact on the world is incalculable. His life story is an inspiration to all people who are interested in Wellness. Here is a man who at 30, was obese, had diabetes, was impotent, and was committed to an asylum — become transformed to become the world’s most renowned holistic healer in his 50s, building a village in the country where he is from, eventually fathering 17 children, and leaving a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Dr. Sebi arguably had a bigger and better impact on the world than even the great Nelson Mandela. He saved more lives that we will ever know because of the personal assistance he gave to individuals, not corporations. Many people only know his name because of the celebrities that exposed him to us, of which we are very grateful to Michael Jackson and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, but Dr. Sebi treated everyone with equal love and respect at all times.

Despite being ridiculed and oppressed for healing people for decades, He was passionate, lively and genuinely happy into his 80s. As much as Dr. Sebi was a gift to the world, and a joy to interact with, the biggest conclusion to take from this document is this. Where is does One go for genuine freedom? Where in the world does One go for peace? If the money is in the sickness and not the cure does one have to forego money in order to be well? Living in this dimension during this time of humanity is a series of conundrums. From the outside looking into the situation, it appears that learning how to optimize the health and vitality of the unique human body each of us has been assigned is a crime punishable by death. If that is true, I would rather lose my life trying to live than spend my whole life trying not to die while never having truly lived at all.
