The Bernie Sanders I Thought I Knew Is Gone
Sasha Stone

A terrific article, and one that is able to articulate a lot of what I’ve felt from the start of this campaign. It’s ironic to realize that Sanders supporters and Trump supporters (and probably Sanders and Trump, as well) are more alike than they are different. Two separate groups energized by the same rage, the same vague sense of betrayal, the same fears and insecurities, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised when Bernie lost his halo.

He still has a chance to reclaim it, by endorsing Hillary and admonishing his supporters to do the same. We’ll see if he takes the high road when he finally accepts the inevitable.
