For this game we used one 6-sided dice for the “fight.” So even if you’re completely unprepared, you can fight the fox (which has a “health” of 5) and beat it by rolling a 5 or 6.

Daniel Goroff, who worked for the Department of Energy at the time, told me about his research and this conclusion firsthand several years ago. I could only find the research I linked to in public records, but Daniel is an exceptional economist, diligent in his research. I was incredulous at first, but I trust his research.
