Summer Camps, UK and Europe

Ideas for your children during the summer holidays

Hi Guys,

We hope you’re having a fantastic start to the summer. As the sun starts to shine, and you’re looking forward to some heat, there might be one or two things to think about.

What to do in the summer?

The summer holidays are between 6 and 10 weeks depending on what kind of school your child attends — that’s a long time in terms of entertainment. We've all been there when, after only one week (if you’re lucky) they start complaining that they’re bored! Here’s a round-up of the best residential & non-residential kids programmes across the UK, including a European option for something further afield.

Camping in Snowdonia

The Outward Bound Trust

http://www.outwardbound.org.uk/

The UK’s first outdoor adventure company has over 70 years of experience. With bases in Snowdonia, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands they offer courses between 1-3 weeks for youngsters aged 11-17. Think rock climbing and canoeing for adventure in the most beautiful countryside the UK has to offer at a reasonable price.

Camp Suisse

More than just skiing; kids aged 7-17 can try mountain biking, horse riding and river rafting over a 2 week program including foreign language tradition. Open to kids from all over the world there is much opportunity for cultural discovery. This experience comes with a premium price tag.

For budding engineers and science buffs this is the perfect choice. Offering courses in everything from 3D gaming design to robot engeneering at multiple centres across the southeast of England with options for both residential and non-residential courses for children and teenagers. Educational and fun. This is fairly pricey due to the nature of the projects and you may need to factor in travel costs.

Camp Beaumont

Possibly the most famous of all — there is quite literally something for everyone here. Dance, IT skills, sport, outdoor adventure are available for ages 7-17 across the UK with good pricing options.

So, there you have it. A few options to think about here. Undoubtedly, there are many more. Are you involved with any of the ones we've covered, or any which we haven’t? We’d love to hear from you. Add a note here, or comment or tweet through our Contact Details below and we’ll get back to you.

Have a great day guys.
