One thing: it seems inconsistent with eShares’ mission to encourage employees to value equity at zero, esp in writing.
Moreover, it seems inadvisable to give financial advice, since each person has individual needs. For example, buying a house is many peoples’ aspiration — but in the bay area, the prices of many desirable properties are set by bidders using in-the-money stock to buy them, not salaries (even engineers’ salaries).
