Why Klout is Still Relevant

That’s interesting — I primarily use my klout score as a measurement of my my own progress online as well. Not at a really detailed level of a tenth of a point, but more as a comparison of how klout thinks I’m doing relatively on different platforms. If twitter is contributing more to my score than facebook, and I’m putting in equal effort on the two, maybe that means my efforts on twitter are more effective.

I didn’t grow up on social media, and I’m new to blogging, so it’s a challenge to learn the best ways to interact with people online. It’s not like there is a definitive guide, and there is so much information to digest. Personally, I’d a handbook that could tell me if I’m on the right track, or totally missing the point… but my klout score seems to be the next best thing.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
