Amazon Interview Process What you Should Know: Project Manager Position

Amazon hires from different backgrounds to take part in their Project Management Office. The hiring process can be summarized in three steps:

  1. The initial interview is conducted before the hiring managers invite candidates to visit the Amazon campus; during this first interview, they try to sift through different candidates and eliminate an individual with weak experience
  2. The second interview takes place after the first interview to weed out remaining candidates with low profiles
  3. Once a candidate made through the second interview, they are invited to come to the Amazon campus for further assessment before the final offer. In this round of the interview. Hiring managers are trying to assess the following skills:

— Assess how the solving problems skills,

— Observe your experimentation skills and,

— Most importantly, what business justification (data) do you use to develop the experiment and draw conclusions.

They’re also very concerned with how you pivot after you’ve failed or how you respond after building a solution that doesn’t deliver the desired results. They want you to be very methodical, lean, and frugal with how you utilize resources to achieve your goals and…
