Good points here, and the entire episode is regrettable. Even shameful. But it also feels like you are calling out folks (Federico, Snell) that you have no personal knowledge of based on Tweets that just can’t carry the emotional load folks are wanting to imbue them with.
Additionally, the assumption of the original article that Overcast’s pricing model will kill other small podcasting apps seems like a leap to me. Some folks are entrenched and loyal to other apps, such as Castro or Pocketcasts, and I don’t think they’re going to jump ship. In fact, those apps are already more popular and well established than Overcast. Why would they suddenly dry up?
