The 30-day pushup challenge is no different. I have seen dozens of YouTubers who swear by its effectiveness. But is it? Does the potential for massive gains in a short period outweigh the risks of injuries from repeatedly doing the same workout? Let’s find out.
What is a 30-Day Pushup Challenge?
First things first, what on earth is a 30-day pushup challenge?
It’s a challenge in which the participant does a certain number of pushups daily — most often without rest days. The goal is to gain a significant amount of muscle definition and strength in a short window of time.
The number of pushups varies from person to person. The usual numbers that I have seen are between 50 to 200. It depends on a person’s strength, fitness level, gender, and overall athletic ability. In this challenge, participants do a standard pushup and can crank out around 25 to 40 on day one.
Pushups are a great workout and are highly recommended for strength training. They hit large ranges of muscles that include:
