How do you go about organizing your world so that (1) everyone can reach you when needed, but you’re not at the mercy of your phone or your email 24/7; (2) you don’t go crazy operating across multiple time zones; (3) people’s expectations of your work availability are realistic; and most importantly (4) that you get to experience everything you want in your non-work life?

How would you advise people whose jobs are not conducive to remote working? If someone feels chained to a desk, what’s the first step to breaking away?
