Technical debt is any code added now that will take more work to fix at a later time
What is technical debt? And why does almost every startup have it?
Trey Huffine

I’m not sure “fix” is the right word here. I’d differentiate technical debt from bugginess. It’s also important to point out that it only becomes “debt” if you have to “repay” it, so to speak — if the code is never used again, it’s not really a debt. Of course that’s the hard thing to know upfront, whether it will be used again, isn’t it!
