I’m a licensed physical therapy assistant. As such I am always searching for ways to better help my patient’s. As such I follow these two quirky physical therapists. Bob and Brad were wise enough to start their own YouTube Channel. I am trying to not miss the boat they are on by blogging more regularly. These therapists actually compare turmeric to commercially available anti-inflammatory drugs. The pharmacist did say it takes large doses to get an effect but every little bit helps.
Check out this video they did where they talk about it. They are fun as heck. Did you know turmeric is what gives mustard it’s yellow color? Turmeric is a commonly used spice in Asia and my wife uses it a lot.
My recipe for Grilled Turmeric Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1–2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1/2 teaspoon low sodium salt substitute like nosalt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl saving the chicken for last.
- Completely cover the chicken with the sauce.

2. Grill over medium heat until medium rare
