Well said Tobias. The challenges are unique, complex and vast. Too many designers who only work in a 400*300 rectangle waxing lyrical about angles on the big G. We should be using our voice to praise a successful, much needed rebrand that’s been rolled out seamlessly into every Google touchpoint in a beautiful, simple way.
A few years ago, I worked with a company that used Gotham as it’s house font. I think it was actually one of the early adopters the typeface from the Hoefler and Frere-Jones (H&FJ) foundry. For various reasons, they never got the license…
