Awesome post! There’s also something to be said about reinforced stereotypes within the diversity present in tech (and other industries). If funny/not-so-funny that a big majority of apply as designers are the norm that you see it tech. You aren’t typically seeing Southasians applying outside of development roles and you’re not typically seeing black people apply for tech jobs at all. There’s a big need to determine the underlying problem here. Would love your insight based on the application you guys get at Buffer.
