It’s time to Proud Boy UP!
Our struggle is not entirely based on ideological differences.
It’s much more than that. This much you may have realized already.
The epic battle of good versus evil is being fought on the world stage. The forces of evil are taking advantage of the tendency for humankind to be manipulated by their fear, hatred, anger, etc.
These massive dark forces conspiring against us is are utilizing a machine that feeds into people’s hatred.
Their fears, their distrust, their past traumas, and the massive web of lies that they’ve been told since childhood are being preyed upon.
We, the Proud Boys, are not here to destroy, maim, or kill our enemies, but to defend the truth.
And to stand firm against evil.
For it exists across the ideological spectrum, and any of us can fall victim to the forces of evil as well.
Whether it’s the youngsters being churned out by the university system, heads full of left-wing idealism, throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at us, wreaking havoc on their own cities and destroying property, or those in our own circles, allied groups, pundits, and “side” of this fight — as human beings, we are ALL fundamentally flawed.
Manchester was the last straw for me. I have made the decision to begin engaging in the culture wars as an active participant. This may put me at risk for retaliation, doxxing, harassment, etc — but I must do what I know is right in my heart. I speak out not only in social media, but in personal conversations with people. Friends, family, acquaintances, even strangers. For the most part, I’ve had profound success in refuting people’s arguments and misunderstandings of my viewpoint, but far too often they’ve shut down and decided they are not willing to hear me.
I’ve also realized that a lot more people are sympathetic and agree with our cause — but have been shamed into silence. The culture we reside in, of politically correct thought policing — has only gotten worse since President Trump’s victory. We saw the reaction from the usual suspects on the left after the Manchester massacre, and that’s the narrative that they will continue to push. Open borders, tolerance of mass murder, subjugation to an evil force that seeks to destroy our way of life rather than embrace and co-exist with our way of life.
I realize that our communication style is very important to shifting the narrative. Adrenaline control is of paramount importance, because people will not respond well to being yelled at — but we MUST NOT REMAIN SILENT. We must be assertive, and use logic, and factual information — because we have the truth and the evidence to back our points up. Instead of reacting to their rebuttals with impulsive angry retorts, I’d suggest taking a moment to listen and hear their point of view. I know it’s frustrating to hear the same garbage you’ve been hearing for the last year and a half or more — but it’s important to me that I come from a place of goodness and righteousness — not of malice, hatred and evil.
Mike Cernovich very poignantly stated that “Little girls are dying because men are not saying what needs to be said.” A former work colleague’s immediate retort was: “oh, so only men can say it?”
Yes, fellow Proud Boys. Men. Most of the women I know seem too concerned with fitting in with the current trends, and the need for social approval. They avoid confrontation by nature, and will not wish to be seen as subverting the dominant paradigm. Are there unicorns? Yes, we’ve got some amazing women on the right, even former Muslims that have risked their lives to speak out against the atrocities committed on a daily basis against them by members of their former faith.
The time for being silent is over. We must do our part to shift the narrative. We didn’t join this brotherhood to have our discussions only in private messaging groups. The future of humankind is at stake.
It’s time to Proud Boy up.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
— Galatians 6:9–10 NIV
