Start 2018 Off Right — Make Your Bed

There is nothing quite like the first day of a new year.

We are filled with hope and aspirations for the next 365 days being better than the previous. New years goals and resolutions are created with a determined spirit.

I was at the gym yesterday, and it was crazy busy. I overheard a group of regulars talking. One person accurately quipped, “It won’t last. It will be this way for a few weeks then the New Years resolution crowd will thin out.”

Sadly, what this person said was true. Most resolutions will be abandoned by February.

2017 was a year of major transformation for me. Along the way, I discovered a few simple daily habits that acted as “binding agents” that helped me stick to my more challenging goals.

The foundational habit is so ridiculously simple you will probably shake your head and laugh out loud.

Make your bed.

How long does it take to make your bed? One or two minutes max. The more you do it, the faster you will get.
