How to use my existing Wallet for my Reddit Vault?

If you are an experienced Ethereum user, then you already have a wallet address that you use and might want to connect this to Reddit as your Reddit Vault.

The web interface for interacting between MetaMask and Reddit is not working well at the moment but there are still ways to connect your own wallet.

Open up the Reddit app on iOS or Android and click on the little alien in the top left corner:

From there, click to on “Vault” to create your Reddit Vault:

At the bottom of the Reddit Vault page you’ll notice there is a message that says “Use Recovery Phrase Instead”

This allows you to enter any 12 word seed phrase from an Ethereum blockchain wallet.

For example, you can extract your seed phrase from your MetaMask wallet by going to click on your account icon in the top right corner. You’ll see a list where you can click settings:

From there, click on the settings tab that says “Security & Privacy”, the first option under that is “Reveal Seed Words”:

This button will show you the 12 seed words for the wallet that is currently active.
