Whilst investigating the stories spoke from a local nurse are true, people have been seeing strange stories and visions after drinking from the Warped kettle. An articulate nurse called Fred Grey uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, warped kettle circulating throughout New York. As soon as anyone uses the kettle, he or she has exactly 24 days to write a fanfiction story .

The doom was spreading across the Ilvermony Institute, few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they can be shown to be magicians. A marked person feels like a frantic guppy trying to escape it all. the curse of the warped kettle makes one write some seriously noun as verbie things.

Fred gets hold of the kettle, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a derelict lizard balancing on a sleepy nurse, an old newspaper headline about a drunk driving accident, a hooded badger ranting about hands and a drinking well located in a picturesque place.

When Fred notices his fingernails have guppy-like properties, he realises that the curse of the warped kettle is true and calls in his niece, a teacher called Stanley Pitt, from Ilvermorny.

Stanley examines the kettle and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the derelict lizard balancing on a sleepy nurse particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural tea drinking ceremoney.

Fred and Stanley pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, when people drink of the kettles tea and first wanted to starting with a search for the hooded badger.
