This is how I live! It has never occurred to me that so much teaching/motivation around is built around “goals”. I prefer to live without them, in a sort of “go with the flow” kind of way, as there are so many variables and unpredictable changes in life that I’d never been sure it was realistic to set specific goals.
That’s not saying I don’t try to achieve anything at all. If anything the closest I’ve come to setting goals is simply making lifestyle changes in order to move more in the direction I want to be. I.e. Going to the gym a number of times a week, spending some time per day reading, etc.
It’s so nice to see someone articulate this way of thinking. Thank you for writing and sharing this.
