I took seventeen years off from the internet. From computers in general. When I hopped back in, late last year. I was appalled and sickened. All I read was basically, it’s all the Lefts fault, the Rights fault, the Third-party! Never a we messed up. Never I messed up. Always something or someone else did it. Like a bunch of kids not old enough to know. We, ourselves, are the only ones who CAN be responsible for ourselves. Everybody frelled up. Ok? All sides made mistakes. We all got into this mess togather.

I use the word 'we' because I need to see a WE emerge in the debate over what to do to fix it. The hippies were from the Right, left and middle of our society. They were poor, rich and middle class. A protest to them was sitting-in with other people and demanding a change. They didn’t attack the cops. They put flowers in the muzzle’s of Police and National Gaurds guns. They wanted peace. Just like we do. They did it the grown up fashion. They understood the concept of 'WE’.

If the idea of WE doesn’t come back. Then even those of us who look at a busy, multicultural city street and just see busy happy people. We too will be drug into this brewing international civil war. A war that has no place in modern society. But it is what is being done. First a nation looses it’s, we, it’s identity. Then the people devide up and concour themselves from within. We are all in need. Politicians ignore us all, equally. They say one thing and do another. [This is, incidentally, called hypocrisy.] The rich are indeed gathering more money to themselves. But can’t buy any more than they used to. Inflation has caught them up. The cost of living has risen dramatically, while the income levels have remained suppressed. Unbacked paper dollars have destroyed our buying power. Plunging the value of a dollar to a pittance of what it should be. A penny was once used like a dollar. A buck like $100. What hapened? It was on the news. Look it up.

My point is. We are all affected by the same problems. If we allow ourselves to become divided. We will no longer be The United States of America. We will have nothing. None of us will. We don’t follow Islamic law. If we are divided now. That will be the ONLY law. No problem ever went away because people threw a fit. Think of those hippies. They were our parents and grandparents. They changed the world. We can too.

Look inside. I want to be accepted. I know you do too. Let us accept each other and go forward in balance.
