Yes, this is exactly my parents — they had the same jobs for decades, were pushed out, and they don’t have the right skills for new jobs they have been applying to. So even though they very much can’t afford to be, they are retired due to lack of work. And beyond helping with things like resume formatting, I really don’t know how to help.
