What does it mean to be lost in Paradise?

Eden, a metamorphosis beyond time, space and reality.

The transition from falling out of the Heavens

To falling asleep in the arms of your lover,

Not quite sure if the sun will rise again, but

Too mesmerized by her voice to worry.

In her song is the melody of the Here and Now.

Eden, the story of a curious child

Who split his soul into five minds,

Trapped in caves within caves that didn’t exist,

Swimming in knowledge and frozen despair.

All that he knew were guttural screams and burning skies.

His heart was a fugitive of itself,

Never really there, only a shadow of what once was,

Yet as hard as the caves he sought to bury himself in.

One moment, she’s right there, and his lips are on hers

And the next she’s nothing but his most recent memory

And he’s sitting alone on a rock in the Garden,

Spilling teardrops into the ocean of his thoughts.

All he knew of peace, laughter and love were projections of his minds,

Consolations against the indubitable fact of his aloneness.

But one day, he ventured out of the cave,

Tumbling in and out of rabbit holes in the Garden,

Until he came across a glowing river.

Swept up by the currents

As he tallied her name at the bottom of the Euphrates

And as he drowned he caught a glimpse

Of the empty face of Mahamudra

And from his corpse I was born.

I gazed at her and saw for the first time

That we were gods running circles around a tree in the Garden

Wearing crowns made from fig leaves,

And trying desperately to rule over each other as kings.

Tonight, I celebrate your existence, my Love.

Eden, the story of a beautiful blue boy

Who drowned in a river of his own tears and fell in Love with Existence.

The sacrifice of minds for a glimpse of the Supreme Soul.

The sacrifice of all of me for all of You.

The realization that as far as the Eastern sun could see,

There was not a Paradise lost,

Only a god lost in Paradise.
