While I agree with much of what you’ve written – Esquire handled this very badly – this is somewhat disingenuous. It’s only the fact that you’re a prominent enough figure to have those sorts of connections that allows this situation to develop. Nobody’s going to be publishing a piece by a fake Adam Tinworth in Esquire, because I’m simply not well enough outside narrow British digital media circles.

You, on the other hand, are a major media figure, who speaks and talks prominently in all sorts of media. The prominence that gives you those connections is why you’re worth satirising. Pity the quality of the satire isn’t higher. 😉
