Written like a person who has never done a day of military service. Soldiers wear clothing called a “UNIFORM”, which makes them appear the same. They go through Basic training and advance training to make them ACT the same. A battlefield is chaos enough, managing separate means/methods/views is not constructive. But even more telling, if you have a “condition” which requires ongoing treatment (such as insulin), you are banned from joining. Heck, even if you have a tattoo in a disallowed location, you are banned from joining. If you have an underlying psychological condition, you are banned from joining. If you have flat feet, you are banned from joining… the list goes on.

It is well understood that Trans people require hormones to keep their gender-choice appearance. Such things will not be available in the battlefield. It is well understood that battleships are crowded, and do not have room for special berths or bathroom/showers. Until recently “Body Dysphoria” was a recognized Mental condition in all the medical manuals. Thanks to the leverage of the GBLT community, they managed to get that struck, as those references made them feel bad. The Trans community REMAINS to have a suicide rate much higher than the general population; this does not speak well for mental stability, or the ability to perform under stress (on the average). They represent the weak link, they CAN have an axe to grind which creates a security risk (Chelsea Manning anyone?).

The military does not exist to make various social groups feel good about themselves. It exists to provide the ability to physically assault an enemy and impose force upon nations we are adverse with. Anything which reduces the ability to perform this mission is a waste of time, even if it makes us feel “good about ourselves, and tingly inside”.
