Day 6: Confession

Text: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confession is one of the most important christian practices.

By it, we come to hate iniquity and love righteousness even more.

How are you when it comes to confessing your sin regularly?

Now, to be clear, we do not mean catholic confession. No, there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Praise God you don’t need to confess your sins to a priest or pray to Mary. You can go straight to the Father in the name of Jesus to confess your sin.

What a privilege!

  • Are you using it?
  • Are you someone who regularly confesses your sin?

True, you cannot lose your salvation… but you can lose the near blessing and presence of God through neglecting to confess.
