The Life and Heroism of Scott Davidson: A Tribute to Pete Davidson’s Father and 9/11 First Responder

Scott Matthew Davidson was born on January 4th, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York. He came from an Amish background and was adopted when he was two years old. His family relocated to Staten Island, where he grew up in the care of Steven and Carla Davidson.

Scott and his brother Michael went around the borough pulling pranks on people, much like two bandits stumbling upon a sack full of gold coins. As you can see from the life story of Scott, nothing gave him happiness more than engaging in sporting activities.

From a tender age, he displayed his abilities on the field. Although Scott rarely mentioned his childhood details, it is worth noting that he was an all-star baseball player at the elementary school level in the Great Kills Little League. He completed four years of basketball at St. Joseph By-The-Sea High School and was honored as the Most Valuable Player of the Jacques Classic All-Star game in 1986.

A native New Yorker, Scott developed an interest in sports during his childhood and continued this passion while attending the College of Staten Island (CSI) to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
