As a growing startup, there are a lot of factors fighting against the growth of the business.

These may include working with limited resources, being careful of making irreparable mistakes, carefully scrutinizing business decisions before implementing, and so on.

Each startup has to get creative to compete and grow successfully in its industry.

There are many things you can do to make your business grow easily without wasting much of the available resources.

What can a startup do?

It can be the case that modifying an existing idea which can be more susceptible and more productive than developing something from scratch.

There is nothing wrong with studying a top brand you want to imitate and systematically evaluating its process to confirm if it matches with your growth plan.

Paul Brown, co-author of the 2012 book Just Start said “It’s always easier when you’re starting a company to try to improve an existing idea,”

You can always study the competitors and what is working well for them. Not totally benchmarking yourself with them but comparing your performance against the best brand in your industry.

You can always modify and tailor those ideas, plans, strategies and workflow to suit your business.

In essence, when a pathway has been built, there is no need to waste energy and resources in creating a new path (only in exceptional cases).

Definitely, you should have a unique pattern for your business but you can also leverage available ones.
