Intro

Adena has been updated to Patch v1.9.0 as of Feb 28th.

The main theme of this patch reflects our core value at Adena: User Security.

As our commitment, two major updates were included — the revamped sign-in flow and support for air-gap accounts.

A whole new sign-in flow, now in full-screen
Airgap Account — the Most Secure Key Management & Signing Method

Along with these two features, the general codebase of Adena has been refactored to improve the structure and the cleanliness of its code.

See the full notes below for other updates and new features included in this patch.

Patch Notes

1. New Features

  • Enhanced Sign-in Flow — The entire sign-in flow was revamped and migrated to be displayed in a new window for enhanced UX. The flow was designed to encourage users to use secure methods such as hardware wallets or air-gap accounts, while also offering convenient methods for flexibility to cater to all needs.
  • Airgap Accounts & Signing — You may now create and sign transactions with air-gap accounts in Adena. Air-gap accounts refer to accounts in which the private key is created and kept in an isolated, offline environment for maximum security. Users can use Adena to seamlessly broadcast transaction files signed from a secure air-gapped environment. For more information on how air-gap accounts and the air-gap signing mechanism work, please check out this featured session in our Docs.
  • Security Questionnaire — Non-custodial key management comes with great responsibilities. We have added a Security Questionnaire to better educate our users on the best practices of key management.

2. Bug Fixes

  • DApp Connection Indicator — The dApp connection indicator in the header now correctly displays the connection status of the current account.

3. Dependency Updates

  • tm2-js-client Integration — The tm2-js-client has been integrated to replace the adena-module when creating accounts and signing transactions.
  • Refactoring — The general codebase of Adena was refactored for cleaner code, richer React utilization, and component unification.

That’s all for this patch. Thank you for your support.
