After 14 years of marriage? Congrats on that. It’s awesome to hear that the hybrid approach has stood the test of time, and significant changes in your income / spending habits. We have discussed how spending would change if our income increases over time. It seems the most prudent approach is to keep to the same guidelines that you set forth when first starting out.
I would have a hard time justifying some expenses over $50, which is why I like hiding under the protection of my own discretionary account. Although, when that item from Amazon shows up at our door, I still have to defend my decision. Easier to ask for forgiveness…😀
