Interview Feedback: Discover New Ways Of Improving The Candidates’ Experience

Leadership doesn’t start and end with those in your immediate team, a good part of leadership is about building culture with all your stakeholders.

When you put out a job advertisement you are inviting the suitably qualified candidate to step forward and that invitation means that they would be interacting with your organization. The experience they gather from that interaction should be of paramount interest to the senior executives.

In all my years working within the corporate world, I have never sat in any meeting where the subject of the candidate’s experience was mentioned or discussed.

One big issue that is recurrent with candidates globally is the lack of feedback during and after the interview process. Many candidates are promised feedback that never happens and when given, it can feel like an afterthought.

There are lots of reasons for this and let me pick from where in the process you are

a) At the initial stage; — a lot of companies do receive loads of applications and at times this can be overwhelming for many companies. Some have implemented ATS that would scan your cv and if you don’t meet some criteria send you an automated rejection message. For those who don’t have this or receive applications…
