Thanks a lot for the kind words. DAX + Global Table is a request we have heard from customers before. Unfortunately, AWS does not have a way to automatically invalidate or evict items from caches in other regions at this time. Could you please send me an email at adhorn @ amazon with details on the use case, the company, etc .. so I can add a +1 on the feature request? Thanks!!

I actually forgot to put it in the blog post but added it in my presentation — Indeed you are right, Circuit Breaker is probably the most important thing to avoid the domino effect, or to proactively failover before everything is down. 1: Currently, you would indeed need to have one master in one region, but you could have RDS read replicas in other regions. With Amazon RDS, you can create a MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB Read Replica in a different AWS Region than the source DB…
