Prayers of thanks and special thanksgiving ceremonies are common among a lot religions and cultures around the world: in Germany they celebrate Ernedankefest and in Japan they celebrate Niinamesai, for example. These are normally celebrations that started by giving thanks to god for the harvest of the year past.

And while they started as religious or spiritual festivities, they have now become a celebration of cultural and family. They (specifically Thanksgiving Day in USA) has become a day to get together with family and friends and give thanks to whatever we feel fortunate of receiving this past year.

Although we don’t have any special thanksgiving celebration in Mexico, given my closeness to the United States, both geographically and culturally, Thanksgiving has always been the holiday I feel closest to when it comes to giving thanks. So this Thanksgiving, we at DILA, want to give thanks to those that make our everyday possible: the entrepreneurs.

We want to thank you for letting us be part of your companies, for letting us take part in your stories. We want to thank you for allowing us to be part of your failures and your successes. Without you, everything we do in DILA would not be possible.

Thank you for being brave, for taking on the challenge, for fighting the status quo, for thinking bravely and taking on great feats. You are the engine that drives innovation and development. And for this . . .

DILA Capital thanks you!
