I was intrigued by the way you ended the post with these two sentences.

It seems like there’s a trade-off between the two where the one justifies the other. I’m curious about your thoughts?

I ask, because I also sometimes make reluctant trade-offs for work, especially when I have to travel and spend a week away from my family. Whilst I know exactly why I choose to do that, it’s not without a frustration that I can’t have the best of both worlds.
